As of Monday, Kelly Clarkson’s reign as the #1 selling “American Idol” officially came to an end. That title now belongs to Carrie Underwood…whose album sales have topped over 12 million since winning “Idol” six years ago. Meanwhile Carrie will make her first-ever trip to Australia in mid-June to promote the deluxe edition of her “Play On” cd.
Dierks Bentley is once again teaming up with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to bring his annual “Miles & Music For Kids” fundraiser nationwide. Three of them are planned so far for this year…including one on Sunday in Columbus, Ohio. Joe Nichols, Uncle Kracker and Josh Thompson will also perform.
We told you awhile back that Keith Urban is planning to release his own celebrity fragrance next month. We now know what he’s calling it….the company that’s developing it has filed to trademark a fragrance called “Deeply”. And a reminder, Keith Urban is a nominee and performer for Sunday night’s Billboard Music Awards. They’ll air on ABC.
Yesterday Blake Shelton announced the title of his upcoming album. His ninth studio album is called “Red River Blue” and it’ll be released on July 12.
Sunday Craig Campbell will sing the national anthem before the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Iowa Speedway. You can catch it on ABC at 2pm. Also Sunday night on NBC, John Rich competes in the finale of “Celebrity Apprentice”.
