Hear today’s Warm and Fuzzy here!
The good news is that each person is uniquely gifted to do something different, and that some of those gifts in life are done in quiet ways that the world may never see of know. This story has always inspired me:
In Maine they tell of an old man walking along the beach with his grandson. The boy picked up each starfish they passed and threw it back into the sea “If I left them here,” the boy said, “they would dry up and die. I’m saving their lives.”
Said the old man, “But the beach goes on for miles, and there are millions of starfish. What you are doing won’t make any difference.”
The boy looked at the starfish in his hand, gently threw it back into the ocean, and answered, “It makes a difference to this one.”
As John W. Newbern said, “People cam be divided into three groups: those who make things happen, those who watch things happen, and those who wonder what happened.” Isn’t it time to take responsibility for all corners of your life and make things happen?
