Chris Young pays tribute to the love of his life on this soaring love ballad. The song was written by:
Marv Green, whose resume includes Lonestar’s classic love song, ” Amazed ,” as well as Carrie
Underwood’s ” Wasted .”

Paul Jenkins and Jason Sellers, who frequently write together. Amongst their credits are Jason
Aldean’s #1 smash with Kelly Clarkson, ” Don’t You Wanna Stay ” as well as Thompson Square’s
first charttopper,” If I Didn’t Have You .”

Young said: “From the first time I heard this song I knew I had to have it for my record and I fell
completely in love with it. It’s a song that speaks to being totally in love with someone and the
feelings you get from a connection like that. The feeling that just being around that person is all
you need.”

This was released as the second single from A.M. Young explained why to Taste of Country :
“For me, going from the top of this record, I really wanted to lead with something uptempo ,” he
said. “To kind of come back and have a change of pace with a song like ‘Who I Am With You’ —
I didn’t even write this song, but I’ve always been one of those people that puts the best song
first. I don’t care if it’s mine or not.”

The song’s music video shows the toll it can taking being on the road, as we watch Young on
the phone with a loved one before hitting the stage. “This was definitely a first for me,” tweeted
Young. “Shooting a video in part at a live show was really cool.”

It peaked at number 2 on the Country Airplay chart dated July 26, 2014, having been blocked
from Number One by Joe Nichols ‘ ” Yeah “. The song was certified Gold by the RIAA on July 18,
2014. [4] As of August 2014, the song has sold 565,000 copies in the United States.

I’ve been a rolling stone all my life
Flying all alone, flying blind
I’ve seen it all, I’ve been around
I’ve been lost and I’ve been found

But who I am with you is who I really wanna be
You’re so good for me
And when I’m holdin’ you, it feels like I’ve got the world in my hands
Yeah, a better man is who I am with you

I’ve got a ways to go on this ride
But I got a hand to hold that fits just right
You make me laugh, you make me high,
You make me wanna hold on tight

‘Cause who I am with you is who I really wanna be
You’re so good for me
And when I’m holdin’ you, it feels like I’ve got the world in my hands
Yeah, a better man is who I am with you
Who I am with you

Because of you I’m a lucky man
You’re the best part of who I am

Who I am with you is who I really wanna be
You’re so good for me
And when I’m holdin’ you, it feels like I’ve got the world in my hands
Yeah, a better man is who I am with you

Yes, who I am with you.”
