I was curious about the whole “Labor Day” thing today, so I did some reading to get my own handle on it. Here’s the official definition;
“Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and
economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have
made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.”
That’s pretty cool. So, happy Labor Day to you and yours!
On a sort of connected note, I am starting my new hours today. I will now be on your radio 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Brian Mo was sweet enough to let me have an hour of his show, which is 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. now (instead of starting at 2). So, whatever
you are doing through your mid-day, I hope you will let me keep you company on 94.9. At work, in the car, at the gym,
I’ll be here – wherever you go!
And as always, I never take for granted that you have many music choices, so thank you for listening to me!
