Have you ever wondered which hurts the most: saying something and wishing you had not, or saying nothing, and wishing you had?
It is a cold but sunny Saturday afternoon and I am missing the warm weather. I know there are cold weather
junkies who are finally happy to have the chill return!
My morning started with no power, but I didn’t know that right away. I was actually lying in bed thinking,
“wow, it’s cold in here!” And then the reality that there was no power became obvious! Yup, I am missing
I am a little over three weeks in recovery from my surgery. I had a pain pump implanted in my side
to assist me in dealing with chronic pain from my chronic pancreatitis. That is a lot of chronic.
I am doing well, and thank you for asking. I have named the pain pump Merlin, because it is both
miracle and magical in helping me with my pain. I am amazed at how much better I am feeling. It is
like getting my life back, and it has been a long while since I have felt like that.
Of course I am thankful for this technology. “Thankful” has been the thread that has run through
the extraordinary path that I have traveled for a few years now. I believe I have learned more
about being thankful now than in my entire life. It is a powerful force.
As we get closer to my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving, I have a challenge for you. Each day from now
until Thursday, November 27th, write down something you are thankful for. You can do more than one
if you are so inclined! It can be anything. I am thankful for my work being more than a job to
me-I love it! I am thankful for music. I am thankful for a beautiful studio to work out of
and the view outside my window. I can go on and hopefully, you will see that you can too!
I’ve thrown down the gauntlet! Let me know how you do.
