May 30.2013 – Maybe I’m Dreaming

It occurs to me today, that any given day that life is going on, there are those out there hurting and struggling to get
through the day.
I was watching the weather channel and they were showing the people that have been devastated by the recent tornado’s trying to put their lives back together.
Sure it was top of mind for us a week ago, but are those people still on your mind today? Admittedly, I have been full of
concern for various trivial things in my own life. But in the grand scheme of things, the people of Oklahoma, the people of Boston have bigger mountains to climb.
I don’t have any suggestions or solutions other than to offer up a prayer for those in need. It is just a reminder that
life does go on and we get busy with our own lives until something knocks us down.
Maybe that’s why I am more aware of these sort of things now. I got knocked down by an illness that has changed my life forever more.
I don’t know maybe I am just dreaming when I suggest that we tell our friends and neighbors we are thinking of them and praying for them as they go through hard times. But then again, I don’t mind being called a dreamer.
