I know most folks are over winter, and I am not entirely adverse to that. But, I must confess, I like the snow!
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t get a snow day when it falls. I have one of those jobs that requires me to be at work during
any kind of weather, especially snow days. But I have a child-like fascination with the fluffy-white stuff. I mean, how cool is it that the white stuff falls from the sky?!
The good part for me is the studio window. I have a big ole’ almost picture sized window that allows me to watch it snow the
whole time I am on your radio. Pretty neat stuff. Yes, I know I am easily amused!
Right now as I’m writing this, the view outside my window is a world wrapped in a fluffy-white blanket. There is a fine mist of snow still falling and I am cheering on the inside.
I know you’ve heard it said, and mama used to always say it to me, “if you don’t like the weather, just wait a minute!” And it’s true. Tomorrow is supposed to be in the 60’s and by next week will see a 70 degree day!
But for now, I get to watch one of God’s many miracles right outside my window. I guess that is actually why I like watching it snow. It sort of falls from Heaven. So to me, it’s like this message from God. Far too often we over-look the every day miracles and take them for granted. I’m trying not to do that anymore…be too busy to know I am witness to a miracle.
For that matter, I am a living miracle, thank you Dear Lord.
I like quotes, you’ve probably picked up on that by now! One of my favorites is by Albert Einstein, “There are two ways to live: you can live as if nothing were a miracles; you can live as if everything is a miracle.”
I chose the latter.
