March 17.2014 – It Matters To Me

After being off the air for a week, it’s a good thing that being on the radio is like swimming with sharks. You know.

So, hopefully I wont push too many wrong buttons today. But if I do, just smile at your radio and know that I am sitting in the studio just prior to that moment going, “hey, I wonder what this button is for??”

It’s back to work on a snowy St. Patrick’s Day. The boss is out sick so that entire combination means, very few staff on the non-air side of the building are here and those of us that are here are looking for mischief! Maybe we will t.p. the boss’s office in green!

Someone nuked their left over’s in the kitchen and so the whole building smells of garlic now. Don’t get me wrong, I like a little garlic but I thought today was made for corned beef and cabbage! Not that I would eat it. Just saying.

I heard through the grapevine today that Travis Tritt has been added to the Blue Ridge Music Festival 2014 at the Salem stadium May 31st. That’s an awesome addition! Of course Brantley Gilbert is your headliner and Thomas Rhett is also on the bill. There will be more names added and I am still holding out hope that Eric Paslay gets to play for us. I have become a
fan of his with his debut hit, “Friday Night” and his incredible-self-titled debut album.

I’m decked out in green in honor of St. Patty today, but for the most part no one will see me except for Brian Mo! That’s okay, I just told you so you know now. Green sweater, ear-rings, sun-glasses and beads. I’ve got the look! A party looking for a place to happen, ha!

Here’s hoping your feeling the luck ‘o the Irish today and it’s all a big ole’ pot of gold for you this week!

Oh, and “As you slide down the banister of life, may the splinters never point in the wrong direction.”
