Ladies Love Country Boys! – August 13.2012

I went to see Trace Adkins at the West Virginia State Fair over the weekend. What a good show! Trace is just so much fun to watch and listent to. He included enough of his new stuff with his old hits and the show just flowed perfectly.
There were two highlights for me.
Trace performed a song called “Proud To Be Here”, and it really hit home. It’s the title cut to his latest cd and somehow I had never heard it before. Of course the last 10 months I have been preoccupied, so there is that.

“Yeah I’m just proud to be on the right side of the dirt
I’ve been loved and I’ve been lost and I’ve been hurt
I leave the hard stuff up to God
Try not to worry ’bout a whole lot…”
Just a really cool song.
The other highlight was Trace showing off his incredible band. He let them loose on the pop song, “How Long Has This Been Going On”, and they absolutely shined.
I couldn’t get over how friendly everyone was the the fairgrounds too! This was my first time at the West Va. State Fair and I will definitely be going back for more!
Justin Moore will play tomorrow night for only $15 and Wednesday night it’s Brantely Gilbert for $20. Worth the price and the drive!
