So, wow. It’s been 10 month since I was last at work and updated Robynn’s Corner! It’s so good to be back on your radio. I can’t tell you how excited I am to wake up everyday and know that I get to come back to what I love! Playing and sharing music with a few friends!
I did battle severe-acute-pancreatitis for the last 10 months. It all started back on October 7.2011. It was kind of eerie for me to look at RC and see the last post on October 6th. My life really did change in a New York minute and it sort of stopped then too.
I spent 28 days in the hospital, had 4 surgeries and had a feeding tube (that means I was not allow to eat or drink Anything!) for 5 1/2 months. Things were pretty bad there for a long while. But a lot of people were praying and God has been amazing and I get to be back among the living again. It feels really good! I will have pancreatitis the rest of my life but with guidance from my Doctor and a lot of care I will move forward with my life.
So, if you were among the many that were kind enough to pray for me, send me cards or emails or facebook messages – Thank YOU. You will never know how much you helped me through this extraordinary journey.
Okay, so back to business now! I am on the radio now 9a.m.-2p.m. Monday-Friday and yes you will hear me on some Saturday and Sunday shifts as my strength returns.
Some old and new things will be happening. I will still do the Warm and Fuzzy. It will be live weekdays at 11:45 a.m. and then Brett will do a “Replay” the following morning at 6:50 a.m. and 8:50 a.m. Of course I will keep posting them here at RC if you miss them!
Also, since there is so much country music knowledge in my little head I’m going to start doing a feature called the “Star Country Classic”. I will be highlighting some of our country music superstars and their hits – some cool milestones to talk about!
And just for fun, a new feature that I am calling “Robynn’s Say WHAT?!” This will be musical exclamations from singers. You know, that improv thing they do during their songs when they sing, “aah”, or “ooh” or “yeaah” – trust me, it’s going to be fun! Catch that everyday around 1:30p.m.
Thank you for listening. It’s so awesome to be back, but then, I’ve said that!Share on Facebook
