August 20.2014 – Shananigans for Cure Kids Cancer and Quote of The Day!

August 15 and 16th Star Country devoted the radio station to the Cure Kids Cancer Radiothon. It’s an event that we look forward to every year for a variety of reasons. We get to show off our children from our community that are living and thriving. We get to highlight You, the Star Country listener for giving back to our hospital in our community, It’s one big Warm and Fuzzy!
Brett and Boomer and Brian Mo and I share the air time. Brian and I asked for your support to reach a goal and you came through in a big way. So, we took the Ice bucket challenge – and you can see the results above.
We’d do just about anything for our kids that are fighting cancer.
Thank you for raising over $211.000 for the Carilion Clinic Pediatric Oncology Children’s Hospital. You are truly amazing and we are thankful for you!
