Taylor Swift and concert promoters had to cancel a concert by the “Trouble” hit-maker in Thailand due to a military coup in the country.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, local concert organizer BEC-Tero Entertainment cancelled the show, which was to take place on June 9 in Bangkok, “due to recent events.”
“This has been a difficult decision for all parties,” the company said, adding that Swift expressed “regret and sincere apologies to the fans in Thailand.”
Swift herself took to Twitter and stated “I’m sending my love to the fans in Thailand. I’m so sad about the concert being cancelled.”
