The Academy of Country Music will be presenting “An All-Star Salute To The Troops,” a two-hour, star-studded concert featuring a performance by Lady Antebellum. The special will be taped Monday, April 7 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Merle Haggard, George Strait, Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line, Lady Antebellum and The Band Perry are the first artists to be added to the all-star lineup of performers for the event. Tickets for ACM Presents: An All-Star Salute to the Troops are on sale NOW at Ticketmaster, priced at $105, $155 and $205. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit ACM Lifting Lives, the charitable arm of the Academy.

Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line is back onstage after crashing his motorbike and hurting his back. Tyler was attempting to do a jump on his bike on February 16th when he crashed. He went to the hospital for treatment, and doctors sent him home to recuperate. Florida Georgia Line will be with Jason Aldean when he brings the 2014 Burn It Down Tour to the Roanoke Civic Center Thursday, May 1st. Listen to win your tickets to the show from 94.9 Star Country!

Backstage at the Brad Paisley show in Charleston last Saturday night, Paisley, a native of Glen Dale, WV, was honored by being presented the Distinguished West Virginian Award by Senate President Jeff Kessler and Michael Lipton, Director of the West Virginia Music Hall of Fame. The Distinguished West Virginian Award was created to honor those who have contributed significantly to West Virginia or West Virginians and have brought positive attention to the state. It honors those who excel in their field and have achieved national recognition; it is the highest honor that can be awarded by
the Governor.

This weekend Craig Campbell visited ‘Fox & Friends’ to talk about Colon Cancer Awareness. The cause is near and dear to Craig’s heart. He lost his father at the age of 11 to the disease.
