Opening Day, presented by Food Lion, of the ACC Tournament on Wednesday, March 12 will feature a concert by American Idol alum Scotty McCreery. The ACC Tournament will begin with No. 12 Wake Forest vs. No. 13 Notre Dame at 1 p.m

Oklahoma country music superstars Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert have bought a home in Nashville, but Lambert made it clear that they plan to continue to live in Oklahoma full time.

A fundraiser for a Tulsa, Oklahoma animal support benefited several animal rescue programs and there was even a special guest in attendance. Carrie Underwood stopped by because an animal shelter she supports received an award.

“Fur Ball” is the name of the Oklahoma Alliance for Animals’ 10th annual fundraiser gala. More than 300 people attended the event.

Underwood, a Checotah native, cheered on the charity she supports in her hometown. OAA recognized Happy Paws Animal Shelter for its spay-neuter and adoption programs.

Martina McBride will be heading off to sea to perform on the 2015 Country Music Cruise which is set to take place beginning Jan. 18, 2015 through Jan. 25, 2015 heading out from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Lorrie Morgan, Darryl Worley, Bryan White, John Anderson, Charley Pride, Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Brothers, Aaron Tippin, Asleep At The Wheel, Restless Heart, Chuck Mead & His Grassy Knoll Boys and Wade Hayes are also set to perform.

Look for Jason Aldean headlining the mens NCAA AT&T Block Party on Friday, April 4th, and Tim McGraw will headline the afternoon lineup at the Coke Zero Countdown on Saturday, April 5.

Miranda Platinum

Miranda Lambert’s fifth studio album, “Platinum” will be released June 3rd. Lambert revealed that the album contains 16 (!) songs. Holy moly. There is also a collaboration with Carrie Underwood on a song called “Something Bad.”
