Chris Young cut his left hand while cooking a late dinner. He was taken immediately to a Nashville-area hospital where doctors assessed his injury. As a result, Young was forced to cancel his planned four-hour fan autograph session scheduled for today during CMA Music Festival.

Young is expected to make a full recovery and return to the stage tonight (6/6) for his planned appearance at LP Field to play for tens of thousands of fans at CMA Music Festival in Nashville.

Alan Jackson held a press conference this morning at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville to announce a year-long celebration of his 25th year in the music business. announced plans for a special 25-city, 25th anniversary tour by Jackson, slated to officially begin in 2015. Jackson unveiled plans for a special 25th anniversary collaboration with Jackson that will include a Country Music Hall of Fame exhibit and Jackson’s participation as the Hall’s next Artist-in-Residence.
Luke Bryan Celebrates Four No. 1 Songs at Party during CMA Music Festival

Music industry members gathered at a party held at downtown Nashville’s Bridge Building Thursday (June 5) to celebrate Luke Bryan, as well as songwriters, publishers, and label executives, in the success of four consecutive No. 1 singles from Bryan’s Crash My Party album.

“Crash My Party” (written by Rodney Clawson and Ashley Gorley), “That’s My Kinda Night” (written by Gorley, Dallas Davidson and Chris DeStefano), “Drink A Beer,” (written by Jim Beavers and Chris Stapleton), and “Play It Again” (written by Gorley and Davidson) have collectively sold over 9 million tracks, and combined have spent 25 weeks as the No. 1 most-downloaded song in country music.
