A mom and her 4-month-old attending Brad Paisley‘s recent concert in San Diego were asked to leave by police, who allegedly told her it was to protect the child. However, mom Megan Christopherson thinks it was because she was breastfeeding her baby.
Christopherson was in the pit at a Paisley show on July 10 when security approached her and her infant daughter, Gracie. They told her she needed to leave because the child could ultimately be harmed standing in the area. A police officer from the Chula Vista Police Department also apparently told her he was worried Gracie’s eardrums could burst being so close to the stage.
Christopherson caught the whole thing on video — it was even uploaded on YouTube, but taken down shortly after. According to USA Today, in the clip, the police officer is explaining why she needs to leave while the mom argues that the sleeping baby is fine. She also let him know she’d recently attended another concert at the same venue and had no problems, and that she believed he was removing her because she was breastfeeding.
The officer gave her two choices: Either leave the venue, or go to a free seat with her baby and 8-year-old daughter. Christopherson decided to leave.
Following the incident, the police department released the following statement on their website:
“The Chula Vista Police Department’s involvement in the incident was due to the welfare and safety of the infant and not due to a mother’s legal right to breastfeed in public.”

Country music superstar Tim McGraw puts on a really big show, but it was an intimate one-on-one serenade to an enchanted young girl that brought the packed house down at Aaron’s Amphitheater in Atlanta Sunday night.
While performing “You Are So Beautiful” for wife Faith and his three daughters, he spotted the enraptured fan in the front of the crowd, mouthing the words to the classic love song, and invited her to join him on stage.
As cameras captured the moment, they sat side by side and finished the tune together. After sharing a big hug, the singer, who clearly knows the way to a woman’s heart, signed his guitar and presented it to the girl – much to the delight of the entire audience.Share on Facebook
