Trace Adkins entered an alcohol rehab treatment facility Wednesday (Jan. 15) after leaving a country music cruise that includes stops in Jamaica and Mexico.
“Trace has entered a treatment facility after a setback in his battle with alcoholism,” his New York-based publicist
said in a written statement. “As he faces these issues head-on, we ask that his family’s privacy will be respected.”
Adkins was scheduled to perform during the cruise which departed Sunday (Jan. 12) from Miami. According to the cruise’s website, the talent lineup also includes Montgomery Gentry, Wynonna, Love and Theft, Frankie Ballard , Craig Morgan, Neal McCoy and Lonestar.
Jason Aldean had the honor of performing on George Strait’s Cowboy Rides Away tour stop last week in Bossier City, Louisiana. A couple of days later he Tweeted a pic of them enjoying a beverage. He wrote, “Hangin’ with the one and only Mr. George Strait at our show last week. Coolest dude ever.”

Kacey Musgraves has been announced as an opening act on the North American leg of pop superstar Katy Perry’s Prismatic world tour. The Texas native will open shows for Perry throughout the Midwest and Canada in August.
Justin Moore announced yesterday, (1/15/14) that he and his wife Kate are expecting baby #3 this summer.
“We are so blessed that God has given us this gift for the third time,” Moore tells the magazine.
Justin and Kate currently have two daughters, Kennedy Faye, 2, and Ella Kole, almost 4, and so it sounds like a baby brother is on everyone’s wish list.
Keith Urban and Kacey Musgraves will perform at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards. Musgraves and Taylor Swift are each up for seven awards, and Urban has one nod. They join previously announced performers Merle Haggard, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson and Blake Shelton. The show will air live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles Jan. 26 on CBS-TV.
Travis Tritt welcomed Marty Stuart to the stage with an exciting announcement during the second of a two-night acoustic stint at the Franklin Theater (Jan. 13-14) celebrating the 25th anniversary of Tritt’s rise to fame. Tritt shared news that the honky-tonk outlaws have already co-produced four sides for a forthcoming album, which may be available by the end of the year. “The new project is real close to unplugged – getting back to the root of things,” he said.
Billy Currington will be featured in a one-on-one date on an upcoming episode of ABC’s The Bachelor, slated for Monday, Jan. 20.
Charlie Worsham will appear on Fox’s Bones, portraying a Country singer who gets murdered. The episode airs Friday, Jan. 17 beginning at 7 p.m. CT.
