Sugar Hill Records has signed Lee Ann Womack to a recording contract. “Beyond the incredible work Sugar Hill has done with Nickel Creek, Sarah Jarosz and Bryan Sutton, they have a broader way of looking at where music can go and why it matters – and for this very personal record, it seemed like the perfect fit,” she says. A single is expected this summer with an album to follow in September.
Actress and singerLucy Hale will be featured in the Macy’s-exclusive clothing line American Rag’s “All Access” online campaign, which gives fans direct access to music, videos, contests and private meet-and-greets. Hale’s campaign will begin April 21 with an Instagram contest and continue through June with in-store appearances, blog posts about the company’s apparel, “Hang w/” app chat sessions and a Lucy Hale issue of Ragged Mag, featuring behind-the-scenes info and photos of Hale in American Rag gear.
Josh Turner will be at Lifeway Christian Store, 1725 Galleria Blvd. in Franklin, Tenn. (just outside Nashville), on Tuesday, April 22nd from 6:15 pm – 7:15 pm to sign copies of his first book, Man Stuff: Thoughts on Faith, Family and Fatherhood.

Releasing nationwide April 29th, “Man Stuff” shares stories Turner has learned over the years as a son, brother, friend, husband and father.

Dan Smyers, of Dan + Shay was in a car accident on Tuesday in Nashville and ended up spending a few hours in the hospital for a wrist injury. He posted a picture to Facebook of his wrist with the caption: “Spent the day at the emergency room after a car accident. Missing my guitar already.”
